To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will say whether the medal and clasp for defence of Legations, which have been struck for the Naval and Military forces who took part in the late operations in China, will be granted to those civilian Volunteers whose services wore brought to the notice of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs by Sir C. MacDonald under date of 20th September, 1900.

(Answer.) The modal and clasp will be granted to those of British nationality who took part in the defence of the Legations.—(War Office.)
