HC Deb 10 May 1901 vol 93 c1309
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND (Clare) E.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if his attention has been called to the case of an old woman named Himalaya Robinson, alleged to have been in the Peninsula with her father, a soldier under Wellington, and who is now in a destitute condition; and whether something can be done to relieve her from privation in her very old age.

LORD STANLEY

I am afraid I have no power to authorise any pension or grant in a case of this sort. I will refer the matter to the Commissioners of the Patriotic Fund.
