HC Deb 28 June 1984 vol 62 c1173
Mr. David Winnick (Walsall, North)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. At Question Time there is no need to declare a commercial interest. Does that apply to statements? I ask that question because in the exchanges that we have just heard it was sometimes difficult to know whether Conservative Members were speaking on behalf of their commercial interests or of their constituents.

Mr. Speaker

Order. It is not necessary to declare an interest, as the hon. Gentleman knows, in Question Time or during statements, but the Register of Members' Interests is there for everyone to see.
