46. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will state the purposes and the results of the recent visits of his representatives to Pakistan, India and Cyprus.

Mr. Foley

If my hon. and learned Friend is referring to the Select Committee on Race Relations and Immigration, and the recent visit to Pakistan, India and Cyprus, made by Sub-Committee B, it is not for me to answer the Question.

I have no doubt that the Select Committee will be making a report to the House in due course.

Mr. Hughes

As the mission is particularly important geographically and otherwise, may I ask the Minister to take the earliest opportunity of bringing its work and its results before the House for debate?

Mr. Foley

That is a matter not for me but for the Chairman of the Committee.
