15. Mr. Stonehouse

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many Commonwealth citizens and aliens, respectively, have been held in custody for twelve hours or longer at London Airport as a result of the refusal of immigration officers to admit them to the United Kingdom since 1st August, 1962.

Mr. Fletcher-Cooke

Thirteen Commonwealth citizens and 27 aliens, all of whom were detained overnight.

Mr. Stonehouse

Are these people able to contact advisers and obtain help?
