asked the Minister of Education the estimated cost to be met by the Catholic community in respect of the Roman Catholic schools to be built in Sunderland within the next five years according to the proposals submitted by the Sunderland local education authority.

Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

I cannot at this stage make such an estimate.

Mr. Willey

Will the right hon. Gentleman agree that it is likely to be a very heavy figure, and in his consideration of the general issue, will he pay particular attention to the special difficulties of certain localities such as Sunderland?
