HC Deb 11 November 1958 vol 595 c175
20. Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will make a statement regarding the problem of small towns, in particular.the Burgh of Coldstream, whose street drains suffer damage from extra heavy traffic passing through.

Mr. Maclay

I have no information to suggest that this is a general problem. I understand that Coldstream Town Council, as suggested in my reply to my hon. and gallant Friend on 8th July, proposes to ask for a technical examination of the difficulty on the next occasion that its water mains are damaged, but that no damage has been done since that date.
