§ 19. Mr. J. Taylorasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will increase the width of the proposed new road which will replace the permanently closed portion of road A9 at Turnhouse Airport; and if, in view of the volume of traffic which will use the proposed new road, he will provide for a dual carriageway or a road capable of taking three lanes of traffic.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThe new road will have a two-lane carriageway similar to the one it replaces. It is proposed to add a second carriageway later when the volume of traffic justifies it.
