HC Deb 16 May 1950 vol 475 c993
30. Brigadier Medlicott

asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what measures are taken by him to ensure that in the planning of land use undue quantities of agricultural land are not taken for other purposes; and what machinery exists in his Department or under his control to ensure that these measures are made effective.

Mr. Dalton

My right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, or his representatives, are consulted on all proposals to divert agricultural land to other uses, and I am satisfied that the arrangements are effective.
