§ 32. Mr. Higgsasked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware that since the re-allocation of broadcasting wavelengths his Department has ceased to provide weather broadcasts from their air meteorological stations; and, in view of the fact that this service was of considerable value to farmers and others, what steps he proposes to take to reinstate the service in the near future.
§ Mr. A. HendersonThis meteorological broadcast service was introduced and primarily used for civil aviation purposes. I am, however, aware that it was useful to other interests besides civil aviation and discussions are now taking place to determine whether alternative provision can be made for them.
