HC Deb 26 July 1950 vol 478 c438
23. Mr. Perkins

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation what representation he has instructed our representative to make at International Civil Air Organisation to permit regular air excursions to be run from European centres to the Festival of Britain.

Mr. Beswick

None. Sir. The matter does not concern the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

Mr. Perkins

Do I then understand that B.O.A.C. are able to run cheap excursions, cutting fares, without getting the permission of I.C.A.O.?

Mr. Beswick

I.C.A.O. does not consider fares or schedules.
