asked the Minister of Food if. in view of the fact that there is more milk in Britain today than is required for drinking and cheese making, he will allocate this surplus for butter.

Mr. Webb

So far as is practicable this is already being done.

Mr. Bossom

Would the Minister give instructions that any milk that is not needed can be used for butter?

Mr. Webb

I have said that so far as is practicable that has been done.

Mr. Bossom

Will the right hon. Gentleman give instructions to that effect?

Mr. Webb

Not beyond what I said earlier.
