asked the Minister of Education if he can now make a statement as to his intentions with regard to the putting into effect of the recommendations of the Working Party on University Awards.

Mr. Tomlinson

As the Working Party contemplated, the recommendations of the Report, in so far as they are adopted, will be carried out by stages. I hope shortly to be in a position to announce my decisions for the academic year 1949–50.
