HC Deb 01 March 1948 vol 448 c28
55. Mr. Wells

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will favourably consider an increase in the price of home-grown wheat to a figure more nearly approximating to the average price paid for imported wheat, in view of the present cost of labour and materials and the need for extending the British acreage in order to save dollars.

Mr. T. Williams

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Evesham (Mr. De la Bère) on 23rd February.

Mr. De la Bère

Is the Minister aware that if one adds one meaningless answer to another meaningless answer, the answer still has no meaning?
