asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if a miner's concessional coal is withdrawn when he is temporarily out of work owing to a physical disability.

Mr. Gaitskell

The conditions under which concessional coal is supplied to miners are governed by existing collective agreements between the National Coal Board and the National Union of Mine-workers of which I have no precise information. I understand, however, that, generally speaking, these agreements do not provide for withdrawal of coal allowance for short periods of temporary physical disability.
