§ 82. Mr. Lipsonasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will allow articles made out of second-hand materials for sales of work held in aid of good causes to be sold coupon free, in view of the fact that coupons have already been given for the original articles and that to insist on coupons would seriously prejudice the financial success of efforts made on behalf of many deserving causes.
§ 81. Mr. Quintin Hoggasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will review his recent ruling that articles sold at sales of work and made from odd materials in the possession of voluntary workers should require the surrender of full coupon value.
§ 85. Mr. Collinsasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the regulation which obliges anyone conducting a bazaar or sale of work to take the appropriate number of coupons when rationed goods are supplied is not being observed; and if he will take steps to cancel a rule which is inoperable.
§ Mr. BelcherWe have been impressed by the numerous representations which have been made, and are reconsidering the whole matter.
