HC Deb 01 April 1947 vol 435 cc1845-6
80. Mr. Keeling

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, now that supplies of rubber are plentiful, the making and sale of elastic braces, etc., will be resumed.

Mr. Belcher

Braces, with an insertion of elastic, have been on sale for several months past, but supplies of elastic web, which is also required for other uses, are not yet sufficient to permit the production of all-elastic braces.

Mr. Keeling

Can the hon. Gentleman say what the stocks are?

Mr. Belcher

Certainly, if the hon. Gentleman will give me notice.
