§ 55. Mr. Hurd
asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will give financial assistance to local agricultural shows in England and Wales on the same lines as is now provided by the Department of Agriculture for Scotland.

No, Sir. I have no evidence that the need exists for this kind of assistance in England and Wales.

§ Mr. Hurd
Can the Minister tell us why he allows Scotland to get away with this one?

§ Mr. Williams
It is only one of many things that Scotland has got away with.
