Flying-Officer Bowdenasked the Minister of Supply and of Aircraft Production if he is aware that the quota of sheet lead and lead pipe allocated to builders is based on their 1945 consumption and that, in view of the housing drive this allocation is inadequate; and will he take steps to considerably increase this quota.
§ Mr. WilmotThere is a severe world shortage of lead which has made it necessary for substitute materials to be used in making sheets and pipes. I believe that essential needs will be met.
