asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when the first edition of the promised White Paper, summarising the main facts of the world's resources and requirements of food and raw materials, may be expected

The White Paper is now being prepared. It will be published as soon as possible.

Might Iask if the Minister will see that the White Paper is published very soon indeed, seeing that there are to be separate editions and there is no need to wait to make the first complete?

Mr. Noel-Baker

We will do our very best. I hope it will not be more than two weeks at the most, but the difficulty at the moment is the dearth of statisticians.

Mr. Stokes

Might I ask my right hon. Friend whether the Combined Food Board will have had full knowledge of all these figures in their consideration of the food position?
