HC Deb 02 December 1946 vol 431 c15
37. Mr. William Shepherd

asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware of the high charges for garage accommodation near railway termini; and what plans are in hand for the provision by the railway companies of garage facilities at the main London stations.

The Minister of Transport (Mr. Barnes)

I have no jurisdiction over charges made by garage proprietors. I am not aware of any plans for the provision of garage facilities by the railway companies at the main London termini.

Mr. Shepherd

Will the Minister tell the House what he intends to do about it?

Mr. Barnes

Later on there will be plenty of opportunity.
