HC Deb 03 April 1946 vol 421 c1232
21. Sir J. Lucas

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty when the hutments at Bedhampton are likely to be released; and for what purposes they are now being used.

Mr. Duģdale

There are three camps at Bedhampton. Two are used as a dispersal centre for Naval Air Arm ratings, and cannot be released without impeding demobilisation. The third is being used as an overflow for the Royal Naval Barracks at Portsmouth, but it is hoped to release it in about a month's time.
