asked the Minister of National Insurance how many old age pensioners are in receipt of supplementary pensions; and what is the increase in numbers since January, 1943.

At the end of April, 1945, supplementary pensions were being paid in respect of about 1,590,000 old age pensioners and widows over the age of 60, or about 180,000 more than in January, 1943.
