HC Deb 13 February 1945 vol 408 c19
33. Viscount Hinchingbrooke

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will make provision to extend the utility furniture and household furnishings scheme to persons returning to this country from the Channel Islands and elsewhere, who are setting up house for the first time and who, due to the circumstances of their repatriation, have been unable to accumulate over a period articles of household equipment.

Mr. Dalton

I shall be very glad to consider sympathetically any such applications.
