asked the Minister of Health what is the total number of dwelling-houses in the United Kingdom which have been so badly damaged as a result of enemy action since the beginning of the war that they are irreparable; and how many persons those dwellings are estimated to have housed.

The number of houses recorded as destroyed or damaged beyond repair is 203720. The number of persons who occupied these houses is estimated at approximately 800,000.
