HC Deb 08 November 1944 vol 404 cc1336-7
41. Sir A. Knox

asked the Postmaster-General what steps are being taken to speed up the prisoner of war mail service to Germany; and whether it is impossible to establish an air-mail service to Switzerland direct.

The Assistant Postmaster-General (Mr. Robert Grimston)

I am glad to say that means have been found to speed up the prisoner of war mail service to Germany and I much hope that an improvement will shortly become apparent.

Sir A. Knox

Is there any chance of a direct air-mail service to Switzerland?

Mr. Grimston

Perhaps my hon. and gallant Friend would put that question down to the Secretary of State for Air.
