HC Deb 08 October 1942 vol 383 c1367
61. Mr. Kennedy

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food when he expects to be in a position to present a scheme for zoning the fish trade of Scotland; and whether he intends to take the opportunity of explaining the regulations to the House in debate?

Mr. Mabane

Fish landings in Scotland are subject to the provisions of the zoning and distribution scheme, which comes into force on 17th October, and the limits within which such fish may be moved are defined in the Transport Directions dated 26th September, 1942. The operative orders are the Fish (Distribution) Order, 1942, and the Food (Transport) Direction Order, 1942. I should be willing, if the opportunity arose, to explain the intentions of the Orders to the House.
