§ Mr. Harold MacmillanAll the present Controllers of the various Controls under the Ministry of Supply have been connected 720 with the industries they are controlling, with the exception of the Controller of Diamond Dies and Tools and the Controller of Non-Ferrous Mineral Development. It must, however, be remembered that the Controls are not self-governing and independent organisations. They act under the authority and supervision of the Minister of Supply.
