HC Deb 23 January 1941 vol 368 cc271-2
3. Mr. David Adams

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can now give a report as to the steps to be taken either by the establishment of a National Rehabilitation Board or other means to secure that victims of enemy action who sustain permanent injury recover their economic independence, and that those who remain cripples shall be provided with employment at settlements similar to Papworth, or through other channels?

Mr. Bevin

This matter is still under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make a further statement.

Mr. Adams

When does my right hon. Friend expect to be in a position to make a statement?

Mr. Bevin

I cannot name a date now.
