HC Deb 03 October 1939 vol 351 c1825
90. Mr. Rhys Davies

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he is aware of the inconvenience caused to fish fryers at Horwich who are compelled to fetch their supplies from St. Helens; that Bolton is much nearer, and transport facilities better to and from the latter town; and whether he will take steps to remove this difficulty?

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (Mr. W. S. Morrison)

Now that the scheme of control for fish which was introduced on the outbreak of war has been abandoned, I hope that the particular difficulties referred to by the hon. Member have ceased to exist.
