HC Deb 28 November 1938 vol 342 c26
41. Mr. De la Bère

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the Government will consider convening a meeting of bankers with a view to devising means to consolidate and expand the existing credit facilities for farmers and horticulturists?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

No, Sir; I do not think any useful purposes would be served by adopting my hon. Friend's suggestion.

Mr. De la Bère

Does not my right hon. Friend realise that where there is a will there is a way?

Mr. Morrison

And in this case the will is present, but another way is being adopted of approaching the question.
