HC Deb 02 May 1938 vol 335 c506
42. Mr. Banfield

asked the Postmaster-General whether he can now make any statement as to what arrangements have been made by the British Broadcasting Corporation for the representation of the views of the staffs it employs?

Sir W. Womersley

As explained in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Evesham (Mr. De la Bère) on 10th March last, the scheme of staff representation proposed by Sir James Rae, Mr. J. W. Bowen and Mr. G. L. Darbyshire was circulated early in March by the British Broadcasting Corporation to all members of its staff for their consideration. The staff have since been invited to hold private meetings for the purpose of full and free discussion of the scheme, and these meetings are now in progress.
