§ Mr. BurginNotice of my intention to by-pass the existing trunk road at Selby was served on the county councils in March last, and I have now received their observations and those of other interested parties. I hope shortly to be in a position to take a decision on the making of an Order under Sub-section (3) of Section 1 of the Trunk Roads Act. As no land has yet been acquired upon the proposed line of the by-pass, actual constructional work could not begin for some considerable time.
