HC Deb 06 December 1938 vol 342 c1000
63. Mr. Roland Robinson

asked the President of the Board of Trade what damage was done to the sea coast during the recent November storms; and whether the Government are contemplating taking steps to provide against the repetition of such damage?

Mr. Stanley

I have no information as to the extent of damage to the sea coast during the recent November storms. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the question asked by him on 15th February, 1938.

Mr. Mander

Has not considerable damage been done inland also, as recently as Bridgwater; and can the Government say what steps they are taking to prevent its repetition?
