HC Deb 06 December 1938 vol 342 c1000
66. Mr. Day

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will give the latest estimated total grain storage capacity of granaries in the ports of Great Britain; how long the quantity of grain so stored would meet the requirements of Great Britain for imports; and, according to the latest figures in possession of his Department, what is the amount of grain being stored in granaries at the present time?

Mr. Stanley

I fear that it is not in the public interest to give this information.

Mr. Day

Can the Minister say whether any arrangements have been made during the last two years to increase the storage?
