asked the Minister of Transport whether he can make some statement as to the progress made regarding the schemes to avoid level crossings on trunk roads?

Mr. Burgin

Four schemes are in progress, and four are in preparation.

Mr. De la Bère

Would it be possible to have a Royal Commission to consider the whole question of these level crossings throughout the country?

Mr. Burgin

I think it is very much better to get on with the work of removing them.
