HC Deb 04 March 1937 vol 321 c515
46. Mr. Levy

asked the Lord President of the Council what arrangements will be made for allocating to members of the staff of both Houses of Parliament tickets for the stands erected in the vicinity of the Palace of Westminster in connection with the Coronation processions?

The Lord President of the Council (Mr. Ramsay MacDonald)

As I have already stated, there is an allocation of 2,50o seats for the two Houses of Parliament and it is proposed to distribute these seats equally between the two Houses. Any provision for officers of the two Houses would be within these totals. As regards the lower establishments of the two Houses, standing accommodation for 500 is being provided in Parliament Square.
