HC Deb 21 July 1937 vol 326 cc2201-2
53. Mr. Creech Jones

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that on 27th February a settler owning a farm at Karamba-ini, in the Limuru district near Tigoni in Kenya, burnt three huts and one grain store with all their contents, including 1,250 shillings in cash, the property of a Kikuyu named Karanja wa Wainaina; and what steps the Government of Kenya has taken in this matter?

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

I have no information on this subject, but I will make inquiry of the Governor, if the hon. Member can give me the material in his possession.
