HC Deb 18 November 1936 vol 317 c1794
70. Mr. SHORT

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that Doncaster listeners residing near the omnibus routes experience interference in the reception of broadcasting programmes; and whether, as such interference is largely due to trolley-buses, any action will be taken in the interest of listeners?

Sir W. WOMERSLEY

This matter has been discussed between representatives of the Doncaster Corporation and of my Department; and I understand that the corporation propose to arrange for their trolley-buses to be fitted, as soon as practicable, with special equipment which will, it is hoped, remedy the difficulties to which the hon. Member refers.
