HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 c1196
62. Mr. MARKLEW

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the facts disclosed at the inquest held at the Grimsby Hospital on George True, the 14-year old son of a farm foreman, who met with a fatal accident while in sole charge of a motor tractor with four harrows attached; and whether he will take action to make it illegal for a boy so young to be put in charge of such vehicles, and so prevent the recurrence of such fatalities?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

My attention has not previously been drawn to this case.

Mr. MARKLEW

If I furnish the right hon. Gentleman with some facts, will he make inquiries?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I shall be most happy to do so.
