11. Mr. GRENFELL (for Mr. MORGAN JONES)

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he will bring to the attention of the Viceroy the schemes which have from time to time been draw up as regards economic development in the North-West Frontier Province of India; and whether he will recommend to him the expenditure of money on schemes such as these and on the development of medical services, with a view to bringing about a diminution in unrest and violence through increased economic prosperity and contentment?

The hon. Member may rest assured that both the Government of India and the Provincial Government are already fully alive to the importance of the economic and medical aspects of the administration in the North-West Frontier Province, to which they are paying special attention.
