asked the President of the Board of Trade the names of those who have been nominated to serve on the advisory committee appointed under the Cotton Spinning Industry Act?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

The names of those who have been appointed members of the Advisory Committee established under the Cotton Spinning Industry Act, 1936, are as follow: Mr. H. Boothman, J.P.

Mr. H. S. Butterworth.

Mr. T. Dutton.

Mr. H. A. Enright.

Sir John H. Grey, J.P.

Mr. W. M. Wiggins, J.P.

Mr. Butterworth, Mr. Dutton and Mr. Wiggins have been appointed in accordance with the terms of the Act, after consultation with the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners' Associations, Sir John Grey after consultation with the Joint Committee of Cotton Trade Organisations, and Mr. Boothman after consultation with the United Textile Factory Workers' Association. Mr. Enright has been selected by the Board of Trade as representing the interests of cotton spinners who are neither members of the federation nor members of any association which is affiliated to it.
