HC Deb 02 April 1936 vol 310 cc2112-3
30. Mr. SHINWELL

asked the Home Secretary whether the Government are now satisfied that they have equipment to protect all the population by new gas-masks; whether such gas-masks have been proved to be as efficient as the bigger models; and whether such gas-masks have been tested with any, and which, of the newer European and Japanese gases that are likely to be used in the event of another war?

Mr. LLOYD

I hope to be able to make a statement before the Easter adjournment.
