I beg to move, in page 170, line 8, at the end, to insert: Provided that no such law as aforesaid shall be made applicable to any Federated State by an Order in Council made under this Section.? The Amendment makes it clear that action taken under this Section could not itself apply any existing law to an Indian State. It must be the work of the Federal Legislature if it is done.
