asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is now able to announce the names of the members of the Scottish Inter-Departmental Committee on the road safety of school children?

Yes, Sir. The membership of this Inter-Departmental Committee has been settled. I am glad to say that the services of Sir James Leishman as Chairman have been secured. The names of the members will be circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following are the names:

Scottish Inter-departmental Committee on Road Safety among school Children.

Chairman: Sir James Leishman.

Scottish Education Department: Mr. J-Mackay Thomson.

Ministry of Transport: Mr. A. H. Dodd.

Scottish Office: Mr. D. Milne.

Local Authorities: Mr. William Taylor, O.B.E., Chairman, Edinburgh Education Committee; Mr. J. E. S. Nisbet, Chairman, Roxburgh Education Committee; Miss Margaret F. Jobson, Member of the Fife Education Committee.
