§ 23. Mr. GUYasked the Minister of Transport if the present policy of his Department with reference to the operation of Section 72 of the Road Traffic Act, 1930, remains the same as expressed in the general directions issued by him to the traffic commissioners on 5th December, 1931; and if he still requires compliance by the traffic commissioners with those directions?
Mr. STANLEYThe General Directions issued on 4th December, 1931, under Section 63 (1) of the Road Traffic Act. 1930, are still in force, and I do not doubt that the Commissioners give due weight to them when considering application" for road service licences and backings.
