HC Deb 22 March 1934 vol 287 cc1386-7
52. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any consideration has been or is being given by the Government's technical advisers as to the conditions under which this country could participate effectively in an international police force?

Sir J. SIMON

I have nothing to add to the reply given by my hon. Friend, the Lord Privy Seal, to the Motion introduced by the hon. Member on 13th December and to the remarks made by my right hon. Friend, the Lord President of the Council in the discussion in this House last night.

Mr. PETHERICK

Will the Government's technical advisers lay it down as a condition that the members of the international police force must have dinner jackets as part of their equipment?
