§ 54. Mr. T. SMITH(for Mr. THORNE) asked the Home Secretary whether he has received a report from the Commissioner of Police in connection with a meeting held by the British Union of Fascists at the corner of Dacre Road, West Ham, on Wednesday night; if he can state the number of foot and mounted police present; and whether any serious disturbance was caused?
§ Mr. HACKINGI have obtained a report from the Commissioner of Police 801 of the Metropolis that a Fascist meeting was held at Dacre Road on the 20th instant. In view of the possibility of disorder, a force of about 34 foot, and four mounted, police attended the meeting; apart from some mild heckling there was no disorder.
