HC Deb 21 June 1934 vol 291 cc543-4
36. Dr. McLEAN

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the expense now falling upon engineering and building development in Great Britain owing to the lack of revision of the Ordnance Survey plans, he will institute an inquiry by a Parliamentary or Departmental Committee into the present position and the steps which must be taken to bring the Ordnance Survey plans up to date?

Sir G. BOWYER

My right hon. Friend is aware of the difficulties to which my hon. Friend refers. A small increase has been made in this year's Estimates for the provision of some additional staff for the revision of Ordnance Survey plans and my right hon. Friend will certainly bear in mind the desirability of speeding up revision as financial circumstances permit.
