HC Deb 06 June 1934 vol 290 cc938-9
26. Sir G. HAMILTON (for Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLE)

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the increasing congestion of the streets in the West End during the summer season, he will suggest to the London Passenger Transport Board the desirability of bringing more effectively to the public notice the alternative underground means of moving about London?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

I understand that the London Passenger Transport Board are arranging for a special series of posters to be displayed with a view to encouraging the public to use the railways in the congested centre of London during the summer season.
